Very solid in look and feel and works great! The box is tight and holds the humidity perfectly. I calibrated the analog hygrometer that came with the box and it was only off by a percentage point. But since I'm a techy person (and a little picky) I added a digital hygrometer and calibrated that one as well. After seasoning the box for a week (bit longer than necessary), the box has held the humidity within a few points of 70%, naturally it dropped a bit when I put 25 cigars in that had not been in a real humidor but within a day or so it was back to 69 - 71% humidity. It's been about a month now, I've smoked a few of those cigars and I have to say they actually taste and smoke better than when I bought them from the cigar shop in town. It is made to hold up to 100 sticks but if you only want to use it for 50 or so it is perfect because they will have room to breathe (IMO). My wife and I both thought it was huge when we got it but after a week or so it didn't seem so big and it looks great sitting on a small table in the living room over by the wall, looks like it belongs there. Love the glass top, I can display the Cubans on top for all to see :-)

I'm very happy with the quality of the Milano humidor. I seasoned it carefully and ever since it is very easy to regulate the humidity. I have to admit I don't use the humidifier that came with it. I use Heartfelt Beads. I also use a digital hygrometer (which is partly why I bought a humidor with a glass top), which is a good thing because the non-adjustable analog hygrometer that came with it is about 10% off. Since I had no quality expectations from the included humidifier or hygrometer the Milano still gets top marks from me because it's a high quality humidor at a very good price.

Had a little trouble getting it "seasoned". With a shot glass of distilled water, I could get RH at 70-75%. When I took it out, the RH would drop to 66%. I ordered the polyethylene glycol solution and filled the thingy and it maintains a perfect 70%.

I just received the unit, so I cannot talk about longer term quality. Some scrapes on finish, might bother some people but just small enough that I really do not care. It kind of takes the worry off of that "first dent" feeling, while still looking good. Hydrometer is 10 degrees off. But that is to be expected from an analog gauge. I will replace it with a digital soon enough. There was some residue from the manufacturing process fogging the glass, took a few solutions... but gojo/goo gone took it off no problem. Overall unit looks great. Even with the minor issues it is still a bargain for the price. Would highly recommend, but just be aware of necessary hydrometer upgrade and possible scrapes. If that scrapes will bother you, buy a unit in person but be prepared to pay 3 times as much (I have looked).

I ordered this item as a birthday gift for a family member and unfortunately it did not work properly. I had to return the item and would have been happy with a replacement if the customer service wouldn't have been so poor. Not once was their an apology- not for the poor quality for the particular item I received and not for the waste of my time because I had to return it. I would not refer this company to anyone based solely on their lack of professionalism and common courtesy to a paying customer.

This is a great value for a 100 cigar humidor with a clear top. The humidor is Spanish cedar lined and includes a tray, hygrometer, and humidifier

It is a very stylish humidor for under $50. The quality and workmanship are good and it does the job.

The humidor is entirely functional and really looks very good, it's much better looking in person than in the crummy Amazon photo (the cedar inside is a pinkish hue and the outside is a reddish cherry color). The glass top is nicely beveled, thick, closes with a satisfying thunk. The humidifier works well but, because the top is glass, you have to cut into your cigar storage space to place it away from the hygrometer. Speaking of the hygrometer, it's a cheap POS and is my only real complaint. I got lucky that mine reads exactly 5 units low because the "adjustment screw" isn't a screw at all and is completely non functional. If you get one on a good day you're golden, but if you're unlucky and get a unit that is way off there really isn't anything you can do, except buy a new hygrometer.

I have had this box for a year and was my first. It was good to learn with. It looks really nice but it doesn't hold humidity very well, as others have stated. In the winter when the air is dry outside the humidity drops below 70 easily. In the summer when the air is moist the humidity fluctuates along with the humidity level outside. So I conclude that it probably leaks. The outside humidity affects the humidity inside the box so you need to keep up with it in winter and lay off it in the summer. It is possible to maintain the level most of the time but it takes more work and tinkering. It is made of quality materials it seems and has a great price. You'll need to upgrade later if you decide to become a cigar aficionado as I have.

Got this as a father's day gift. I had trouble getting the humidity up to the recommended 70%. I was only getting 50% (or so I thought). Turns out after I used the instructions to calibrate the hydrometer it read a perfect 71%. It was off a whopping 20%. Works great now.... I used the propylene glycol / distilled water mix (by Madelaine) to fill the humidor. Great deal for the price Amazon is selling at. Love the smell of the spanish cedar.

I gave this humidor to my future son-in-law for Christmas and he LOVED it. The item was received in pristine condition. Its look has a great "Wow" factor. He is looking forward to setting up in his new home after the wedding.

It's an ok product, the meter isn't accurate. for the price it's still worth the buy

The item arrived in time and was very well packaged. The craftsmanship is excellent for an inexpensive made in China product. A must have for anyone on a budget.

During the early 90's I belonged to a cigar club, had my own humidor "locker" at the club and had a custom, 500 cigar rare-wood humidor built for me for home use. That was then; I smoke cigars a lot less frequently now and needed a smaller, more modest humidor. I love the look of the high-end humidors like the kind that they sell at Nat Sherman's in Manhattan (a true Mecca for the cigar lover) but I didn't want to spend that much. I was very dubious when I first saw the Pompeii humidor. It really looked nice but can someone get a decent product for this price? The answer is "Yes!". Yes, this is imported (you guess from where) and yes it has flaws but the bottom line is that it works and it works well. When it is new you should wet down the interior before adding cigars and let it sit for a week, this will season it somewhat. Once seasoned it has kept my cigars at 70% humidity for weeks at a time without maintenance. After two or three weeks I soak the humidification blocks for 2 hours and I am good to go. The only problem that I have had has been that the blocks tend to get a little moldy around the vents. I rinse them in very hot water and occasionally use a mild bleach rinse. Other than that it has been much better than I expected for the money. I've been using mine for two years now and it looks really nice in my living room. The window allows me to show off my high-end cigars to guests and I store my everyday smokes in the bottom, under the top drawer. The lid fits reasonably tight and the hardware is decent. The inlay could pass for a much more expensive brand and the gauge is dead-on accurate (I checked it with a pro-model gauge). I give it 3 1/2 stars for quality, five for value so 4 stars all together.

This is a beautiful humidor. Lid closes just the way you want it, with a push of air, evidencing the good seal. Seems to me these used to go for over $300 at the cigar heyday.

This humidor is beautiful. The fit and finish are outstanding. The lacquer finish is very high quality for such a reasonably priced humidor.
